Phooey.

I got nothin’ tonight. Here, stack these together, cover them with whipped cream, and call them icebox cake:

• I completely forgot about swinging by the tattoo shop until I was almost home from work, so that’s postponed for at least another day.
• I tried a Morningstar Farms veggie corn dog for dinner. It wasn’t terrible, but the texture was curiously (distractingly?)  chewy (heated in the oven, not microwave). In my stomach, it has the relative weight of lead. This will be the very first MF item that has not thrilled me. Because that lead feeling? I don’t think it’s the Mrs. Renfro’s Peach Salsa, nomnomnom. This is not a paid endorsement, it’s just damn good salsa.
• Tuesday was Earth Day, and the green company for which I work graciously hosted a zero-waste luncheon for the employees. I don’t know the provenance of the food (local? organic?) but every scrap was compostable… from the food remnants to the plates to the napkins to the corn-based “plastic” forks and drink cups. Nicely done, guys.
• I won an auction for an original piece of art, and all proceeds are donated to WeCanSolveIt.org to help (try to) stop global warming. Many thanks to greeblemonkey for her dedication to this project.
